Mint happiness!Apr 10, 2010
By honeybee3 Mint Candy Apple is such a great color! You can't help but feel cheerful when you have it one your nails!
I can see why people might complain about Essie polishes chipping / not drying as fast as drugstore brands, but you have to keep in mind that they don't put in some of the nasty chemicals (like formaldehyde) that some of the cheaper polishes do. It helps a lot if you use a base coat (I like Loreal--- it's cheaper, but also "nasty chemical"-free), and a top-coat if you want extra long life!
Also--- I'm definitely buying my polishes from Amazon.com from now on; it's definitely cheaper than paying the $8 + tax you have to pay for essie in stores.

Good color, not so good productFeb 26, 2010
By E. Brown I love the color, but it chips like crazy! I will apply it one night, and by the next one I'm reapplying it to go over the chips. As much as I love the color, it's not worth it. I wish other companies were making this color so I could get it from them.

Worthless productApr 29, 2012
By Britaner Essie polish is absolutely the WORST polish Ive ever used- and Ive used everything from OPI to wet and wild, being a beauty blogger. Guess what? Wet and wild (which costs a dollar at any drugstore) lasts at LEAST ten times longer than rip-off essie. Essie polish chips IMMEDIATELY. Ive used at least 8 different kinds, and all chipped within three hours without touching anything, getting nails wet, etc. Dont throw your money away on this junk!! They should be ashamed charging 8 bucks at salons for a product that is absolutely the worst on the market. "Use a topcoat!" you say? Oh, I did. Ive used Essie's topcoat as well as several other brands on top of essie polish and the chipping was just as bad. Plus I tried essies topcoat alone and it chipped within 30 minutes. Save your money and buy L'oreal or Sally Hansen at Walgreens.

Chips so easily!Mar 31, 2012
By jk I absolutely love the color of this nail polish, in fact, it is my favorite color at the moment. However, as much as I want to love this product, it chips soooo easily. I use a good quality base coat and top coat, yet it still starts chipping after a day. After two days, whole areas of it comes peeling off.

Beautiful!Jan 27, 2010
By Katehoven After mint greens became so popular this winter, I had to have Essie Mint Candy Apple. It's not really a dupe of Chanel Jade though, it has more blue and is a creme, but it's beautiful on! Also Essie's formula is great, so no chipping for at least 4 days on me. Overall if you like minty colors, this one is fantastic!
