Gelish is amazing stuff, it's all I want to wear now!

I ordered on Monday and received in mail Wednesday -
they are now my go-to choice for Gelish products!

I've been doing my own nails with Gelish polish and I LOVE it. It stays for a couple of weeks even after thoroughly abusing my nails. My normally peeling nails are in great condition after using this system.
This color is a really, really bright pink. Nothing subtle about it. It will be perfect for summertime. I also have Samuri which is a sheerish, glittery purple. I sometimes put a couple of coats of that over Gossip Girl and it makes a really great color.

I just got my first gel polish manicure last week, but the technician did an awful job. That awful job was $35 and lasted pretty well considering I USE my hands daily at work. I open drug bottles, peal the seals off and pull out the cotton... I fold and stick prescription labels on for 10 hours per day. If this lousy gel manicure can last through all this, I nice job should be outstanding. Just to prove it true...
So I thought for sure I can do a better job myself, at home. I researched and bought all the necessities on Amazon (love me some Amazon!) delivered to my doorstep in a few days! I bought the soak off cleanser to remove the last job, the base coat, 2 polishes [[ASIN:B003VMU63K Harmony Gelish Uv Soak Off Gel Polish -Gossip Girl (0.5 Oz)] andand the top coat add a 36W UV nail dryer for under $150 and I'm set. I already had the other essentials: 99% alcohol and 100% acetone, cotton balls, foil, emery board, cuticle remover, pusher and nippers. take a look! my novice results are not too shabby at all. I was a little scared at first - my nails were tacky after drying in the UV oven... like they weren't curing. Duh, it's just residue. Dab some 99% alcohol on a cotton ball and wipe my paws, et Voila!
Definitely a do-it-yourselfers dream. I'll report back on the durability of these new nails ;0) true testing starts Wednesday. It already survived dishes and baking today. real work test starts Wednesday night.]

I had tried Opi Axxium and was not impressed (chipped and took forever to get off resulting in damage to my nails) so moved on to Shellac which I loved! I had alternated between doing the myself at home or having it done in a salon, but recently have noticed several places mixing the Opi base / top coats with Shellac and the results are not impressive, so I decided to try this and go back to doing it myself!
The draw was I found it locally and it was cheaper with a purported 21 day staying power so decided to give it a go!
I am glad I did. This was easy to apply, I began with the base coat, then used my UV lamp for 2 minutes, before 2 coats of this Gossip Girl color for 2 minutes, and 3 minutes respectively, and then a final 3 minutes for the top coat! The whole system was super easy to apply and went on well with no problems. This color is beautiful, a deep rose pink and the top coat adds such a beautiful shine! I found the end result to provide a slightly thicker finish that either Shellac or Opi which may explain why 14 days later I still have perfectly polished nails with no chips....yes this has outlasted both Shellac and Opi!!!
This is by far one of the prettiest pinks of any of the systems with excellent staying power at a lot less money. I think I will be sticking with this system for the foreseeable future!

I am not a nail tech, but purchased an inexpensive UV light and all the items needed to give myself a gel manicure. I like the creme colors - ones without a lot of glitter in them. Gossip Girl was the first color I got and it's a beautiful hot pink. To me, the picture looks a little more red than it really is. I wore it in Florida, and in the bright sunlight you can see a subtle shimmer. Beautiful color!
