My Favorite Nail File EverJan 28, 2011
By O. Brown

***** I love that this cute nail file, unlike many inexpensive glass/crystal nail files, has nice traction and is rough enough to actually file your nails instead of slip all over the place. It is gentle enough though so that your nails won't shred or split or peel or flake. I really like the case too, as it is hard and sturdy and will be easy to find in my purse, plus keep the file from breaking. I like the short length and find it perfect for my nails.
It is easy to clean too--just run the file under a faucet as water will not damage it. It can be sterilized with heat (up to 483F), boiling water, alcohol and UVB lighting. It can even be put in the dishwasher to sterilize it.
You just have to be careful not to drop it on a hard surface (like the floor), as it is glass and it could break. Since I bought this, though, I did drop it once and it is okay--I like it so much I'm ordering another so that I never have to be without it.
It has a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee. Who could ask for more than this?
Highly recommended. *****

Great FileDec 15, 2010

I have thinner nails that tear easily and this is the only file I can use to allow my nails to grow long. This file is fantastic for natural, thinner nails.

Nail Tek Glass FIle- Be careful, breaks EASILYFeb 20, 2011
By L. Lai

Initially, I really liked this glass file. It comes in a cute fuschia protective casing, and the file itself is thinner than most other glass files I have, which makes filing shorter nails (which I have) a bit easier. However, it being so thin makes it extra delicate. I've only been using my Nail Tek file for just under 3 months, and yesterday when I was cleaning up the tips of my toes, the file SNAPPED in half! I was dumbfounded. I didn't think I was using a lot of force. My generic LaCross brand glass file lasted way longer than this, and it's still good (I keep my LaCross file in my work drawer now). I had to run down to CVS and buy another generic glass file to keep at home. Buyers beware, this product needs to be used gently. Very disappointed. (And no, I've never dropped my Nail Tek file, or done anything else to compromise it's structural integrity).
